 Over the winter break we will be profiling this year’s rookie class. Today we introduce you to Amanda Brown.
Amanda Brown is an Ohioan native and joins the team as a freshman. She finished the first half of the season playing in 14 games, 17 shots on net with no penalty minutes.

The best thing about the team is … making some good friends and working hard at getting better at hockey.
The best thing about playing hockey is … being able to let anger out on the ice
I started playing hockey because … I tried other sports and didn’t really like them and I hadn’t tried hockey yet so I thought I’d give it a shot.
I chose to come to Ohio State because ... not too far from home, hockey, and cheaper tuition
I realized I was in college when ... failed my first math exam
The hardest thing I’ve ever done is … leave home
In 20 years, I ... hope to have a good job with a nice home and family
When not at the rink, my favorite thing to do is ... play street hockey or hang out with friends
I can’t imagine living without the following 3 things ... family, friends, hockey
I am an avid fan of these sports teams: Buckeyes, fighting Irish
