Elaina Jones came to the Buckeyes from central New York, playing previously for the AAA U-19 Syracuse Stars and the Cortland Flames, where she was an assistant captain for three years.  

Graduating 6th in her class from Homer Central, Jones was a member of the National Honor Society and active in student government. She continues to be a strong student at Ohio State, earning a 3.5 GPA and senior standing through her hard work in the Honors and Scholars program during her sophomore year, and making the Deans List two years in a row. Elaina is also very involved in extra-curriculars, being a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta (Pre-Med Honorary), American Red Cross club, Gymnasion, Children's Hunger Alliance, and the Canfield Activities Board.   

2008-09 Season
Jones has played in all games for the first half of the year averaging 21:48 of ice time a game.

2009-10 Season
Elaina has been elected to serve on the team board as Treasurer.
