Emily Moersdorf joined the Buckeyes during the 2008-2009 season, after attending her freshman year of college at Otterbein. Moersdorf has played hockey since the age of 7, first roller and then ice hockey as a goalie and a forward. She finished out her youth hockey career with the U19 Columbus Sting, and remains involved with the program as the coach of the U12 Columbus Sting.
At Worthington Kilbourne High School, Moersdorf was a strong student, graduating with honors and lettering in Sports Medicine. She was also a member of the Students Against Drunk Driving Club.
Now in her junior year at Ohio State, Moersdorf has been elected to serve as team captain for the 2009-2010 season as well as the ACHA league representative on the team board. This past summer, she attended the ACHA National Camp and made the ACHA National Team, which will compete in Europe in the spring of 2010.
Fun Facts
Moersdorf has dual citizenship in the United States and England. She also has a black lab named Carmen, named for the famous Carmen, Ohio at Ohio State.

Emily's parents are Linda Burden and Gerry Moersdorf. She has a twin sister, Anna, and a brother Gerry.
