Notes

Roshon is an Ohio native and comes to the team after playing as the varsity goalie for the Ottawa Hills High School boys’ varsity team. During her high school career she received the team’s 2006 award for Most Improved Player, was the 2006 Most Valuable Player in the MLK Tournament in Cleveland, Ohio and she received league honorable mentions for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons.

Roshon was an honor roll student for her four years of high school where she was the year book business manager and received the school’s award for Outstanding Senior Athlete. She also played varsity softball where she received the team’s MVP Award in 2005, Coach’s Award in 2006, was a member of the All TAAC team and All District 1st Team in 2008.

Outside of hockey Roshon volunteers for worthy causes and has played drums for the last eight years.

2008-09 Season

Roshon made her first collegiate appearance during the team’s game against Western Michigan at the Great Lakes Showcase on October 5, 2008. She played all the remaining 13:53 of the game but the last 1:12 seconds when Ohio State spared the goalie to skate with an extra attacker. She stopped all 4 shots faced. Coach Edwards comments on Roshon’s first collegiate game; “Although she didn’t see much time or many shots (4), her positioning was solid.”
